Earlier in the year I made a digital card with this image for my DT work at 12 Months of Christmas Link Up. As part of my DT duties I need to be able to use the digital papers that Lisa makes at Decosse's Dynamite Doodles. I cannot print in colour at present so I colour whatever the sponsor's image is and then digitise it to make a fully digital card. This then gives me an already coloured image that i can use to make a physical card at a later date.
For Day 13 at Beccy's Place Month Long Holiday Cards Challenge the prompt is the letter K
I have chosen K for Kitties and Kraft
The image is Waiting for Santa Window from the Fleaz Navidad set by Ike's Art. I have coloured it with Promarkers and added some details with coloured pencils. I used a gold gel pen on create a plaid pattern on window blind and tree pot. I added a white gel pen to the windows to create snowdrifts and some snowflakes. A clear glitter pen was used to add sparkle. Finally a green metallic gel pen was used to colour the Christmas tree.
I used Sketch 195 from Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 for the layout
The base is some green cardstock and I made a square card as large as the sheet would allow. This has a kraft text paper on it that came in a big bundle years ago from Craftwork Cards. On this I added a scrap of tartan paper and matted with gold.
The circle element I used some pre-cut sentiment dies from Kanban that I have had for at least 15 years. They were all the rage at that time and I did use a lot years ago. I used them as I thought it would be a good way of adding a sentiment.
The gold snowflake strip was an element from a pre-printed Papermania die cut sheet. Finally I added 3 tree shaped brads.
Card Details -
Size – 6.5” x 6.5”
Digital Image - Waiting For Santa Window from the Fleaz Navidad set (Ike's Art)
Die Cuts – Kanban die cut frames
Paper – Traditional Christmas (The Works). Kraft paper (Craftwork Cards)

Lovely card Mandy. What a shame that you can't print in colour at the moment. At least you have a digital version ready for when you are able to. I hope those kitties aren't considering playing with the Christmas Tree while they are waiting for Santa!

ReplyDeleteWhat a cute image Mandy, I love the cats! They look as though they're sizing up that tree, deciding whether it's worth knocking over or not. You've done a great job combining all the other elements, I particularly like the kraft paper with all the Christmas words. Fabulous!
