Dad's Birthday

My father in law is a sport's fanatic, plays a lots of golf an enjoys watching cricket.

I usually make a golf themed card for his birthday but decided to make a slightly different, but still sport themed card.

Digging through my sport themed stuff I came upon a Dufex decoupage sheet which seemed perfect.

The Dufex embellishment was layered using thin foam squares. I then cut out a mat from silver card using a nestabilities die to mount it on.

I have used the ;latest sketch 517 from Tuesday Morning Sketches for the layout.

All papers used in this card are from my scraps drawers. They have been edged using a silver sticker strip on a roll from Lakeland. Finally the lettering is flock stickers.

This is quite a CAS style card for me which seemed perfect for this male card.

Stars and Back

This card has been made using the monthly progressive freebie from the Outlawz Challenge. It is called Stars & Back and the artist is All Dressed Up.

I printed the image onto blue card as well as my normal white. This enabled me to paper piece the hat and trousers and raise up on 3d foam.

The image has been coloured with Promarker, Flexmarkers and gel pens. The background image is a colouring page from Elizabeth Dulemba. I printed it onto blue card and used blue & silver inkpads and I stippled ink onto the background with a stiff brush.

Many of the stars have been 'coloured' using silver glitter. I haven't used loose glitter for a long time and of course it went everywhere :) This background was mounted onto silver holographic card and then a navy blue card base.
