Snow Title


Today's Christmas card was made using an image Snow Title from Little Scraps of Heaven Designs.

I absolutely love snowmen and was looking through my digital images and came across this one. I was immediately inspired to make a shaker card.

The image was printed out large enough to fit an A5 card. Using a craft knife I cut around the SNOW word to create an aperture and behind this I placed acetate to create a window.

I have added 3d foam to the back of this to create the dimension needed to fill with the shaker section. This is filled with irridescent glitter and seed beads in dark blue, light blue and white. This is backed with a strip of blue card to seal the shaker section.

I have decoupaged the snowman and paper pieced using a combination of scraps of glitter and metallic papers. I used Promarkers to colour the image adding a pale grey to the snowman and the outside of the word.

I have used an assortment of snowflake & star stickers to decorate. This whole section was then added to the card blank.

It is absolutely ages since I made a shaker card and I forgot how fun they are.

    I'm very impressed that you paper pieced the snowman Mandy, I thought he was a pre-made embellishment. The glittery hat and scarf and wonderful and add some fabulous sparkle to your project. I love the shaker part of your card, great idea to make the window from the word. Fabulous choice of filling too, I particularly like the addition of the seed beads.
