Guest DT at Createful Heart Design

I was a recent winner of a challenge at Createful Heart Design and was delighted to be asked to be a Guest Designer on a new challenge starting today.

The image I have used is Gingerbread Joy. I love to make Christmas cards over any other, especially if I have the opportunity to add glitter and sparkle.

I have used Promarkers and gel pens to colour the image along with lots of stickles glue for the letters, snowflakes, hat and buttons.

I have used papers from my stash including a cute gingerbread couple.

The sentiment is a digital stamp from Word Art World and has been die cut using Apothecary Accents Framelits die from Stampin' Up (by Sizzix) as well as the red glitter card mat. Red Card Candi with metallic gold dots has been added to embellish.

Finally I added a little gingerbread man which has been cut from a Sizzix die whihch was one of my very first dies I purchased many years ago. This was cut from shrink plastic and coloured with Promarkers. Finally I added a small piece of the red glitter card for the hearts.

It has been an absolute pleasure to work with this cute image. I do hope you will join the team on the current challenge.

Guest DT at My Besties Art Espana

I was a recent winner of a challenge at My Besties Art Espana and was honoured to be asked to be a Guest Designer.

The image I chose to work with is Sweet Lil' Lisa Fairy IMG036 and the artist is Sherri Baldy.

I made this card for one of my twin great niece's 6th birthday. She is such a little princess and she will absolutely love this.

The image has been coloured with a combination of Promarkers, Flexmarkers and gel pens. Lots of glitter has been added by using stickles glitter glue and Sakura clear glitter gel pen. I added some pretty little resin flowers and lots of yellow gems.

The card has been covered with a glittery floral paper from DCWV.  The sentiment is a Spellbinders die that comes with numbers to cut any age that you require. I have cut this from purple funky foam for the dimension and then silver mirror card. I felt the lettering around the outside needed the extra support of the foam. I added some double sided adhesive to it so it made it into a big sticker and I pleased I did this. I added some purple stickles to the heart and the number for contrast.

Finishing touches were added with 2 different ribbons, a gem brad and flock die cut letters.

It truly has been an honour to Guest on the current challenge 36 which the theme is Anything Goes. You do not have to use a My Besties image to enter. I am sure the team would love to see you join in.

Guest Designer at SSW 2

I was a recent winner of a challenge at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 with my Mother's Day Card. I was delighted to be asked to be a Guest Designer on this challenge.
This is the sketch that I have been given to work with and I am pleased to say I made my first Christmas card of this year with it.

The image is a Penny Black rubber stamp Snowman & Hedgy which has been coloured using Promarkers & Flexmarkers and lots of glitter on the snowman and Stickles glitter glue.

The card is an A5 size covered with designer paper from DCVW. Following the layout of the sketch I have cut the image into an oval shape and mounted this onto mat die cut using a Spellbinders Floral Oval die.

I have used a blue glittery washi tape with a thin white ribbon which has been recycled from a new top I have bought. The sentiment is a digital stamp that I have had printed for ages. I cannot find on my computer which artist has created it but when i do I will give the relevant credit for it.

The image has been embellished with various snowflakes and blue gems from my extensive collection of Christmas stash.  I love making Christmas cards the best as you can use loads of twinkle and I love any excuse to add bling to my cards.

Thankyou to Anne for giving me the opportunity to join in the fun with this sketch.
