Glittering Gingerbread

Today I have the cutest embossing folder to share with you. It was my birthday recently and my wonderful sister as always asks me what to buy. I never know as I don't really need anything but then Chloe’s Creative Cards brought out this gorgeous embossing folder. It is really large at 8" square and I am a complete sucker for a gingerbread man so I give her a list of things which included many really, really good bargains from their sale.

The large felt gingerbread man is from a decorative banner I got from The Works. It had loads of them on a banner made from string and I thought it would be great for putting on a card. Of course this was purchased last year when I had all these wonderful plans and work got in the way of crafting :(

Anyhoo, the card base is gold card. I used kraft for the embossing and then inked the baby gingerbread with a Distress ink pad. This panel is mounted onto brown paper (no patterned paper use on this card, extremely rare for me!)

Mr Gingerbread man has been given a glow up with the addition of glitter glue in sparkle, red and red/green and some adhesive gems.

Last but not least a sentiment recycled from a shop bought Christmas card matted onto a scrap of gold completes this card.
