Merry Christmouse


It's time for another challenge over at The Paper Funday.
Our challenges are alway Anything Goes with an optional twist.
The twist this time is 'Colours of Autumn'


We are very fortunate to have 2 sponsors for each challenge this year which means we get to choose which artist we would like to work with. This is really great as it gives us double the choice. We are very lucky with the amazing sponsors that are lined up this year, many of which are old favourites and some that are new to me.

I chose to work with an image from my collection Merry Christmouse from Hetty Clare Art.

This card has been made using a sketch from Kendra's Card Challenge. This is the first time I am taking part in such a project. Every quarter Kendra provides a PDF which has a cutting plan for several cards using 6 sheets of 6"x6" paper. This time there are 17 card sketches for A2 size cards which are slightly smaller than the A6 cards we would normally make as a small card in the UK. This layout is sketch 15 and suits the shape of the image perfectly.



I have coloured this with mainly Promarkers, a metallic gold gel pen and then pencils for the background. This has been layered onto a scrap of gold card. I embellished with some dots of gold Stickles glue for the champagne bubbles and some Icicle glue for the snow in the sky and drifts. 

I have had this image since May last year and it is the first time I have used it so it was really nice to finally get it coloured up for this challenge.

    Those mice look as though they're enjoying themselves Mandy, it's definitely party time at their place! The colours you chose are fabulous, very bright and festive and you did a wonderful job interpreting the sketch. Love it!
