For Day 10 at Beccy's Place Month Long Holiday Cards Challenge the prompt is the letter I.
I have chosen I for Igloo (that's a new one for your list Beccy)
Earlier in the year I won a challenge at ABC Christmas Challenge and the prize was some rubber stamps and this Icy Igloo embossing folder from Crafter's Companion.
I embossed the whole folder in the light blue for the sky and used some silver rub on wax to highlight the snowflakes.
I cut a section of glittery paper for the snow on the ground. I then embossed 2 of the igloos in white card and cut the bottom layer of the whole igloo. I coloured the back/inside of the igloo in a medium grey to add depth to it. The 2nd layer I cut just the doorway and used a lighter grey Promarker. I always wondered why they had so many greys in them but quite glad for projects like this.... I used the silver wax to define the lines in the ice bricks and create shading on the doorway. It is really shimmery in the flesh and just like the shine you get off blocks of ice.
The little penguins are some really thick felt stickers I have had for a few years. They have never been used before, suffocating in their plastic packaging and desperate to come out to play. The naughty penguins are having a snowball fight with some mini glitter snowballs I found in The Range just before lockdown #2. The top one has had a right knock on his head judging by how his eyes are rolling.
Finally the sentiment is a 2 part die from Crafter's Companion. I cut the background in the dark blue that I used for matting the overall scene. The white top layer was so fine that I ran the thin card through my Xyron first. Fortunately it was just wide enough. The die cut is so fine I think it would have been quite difficult to add glue to it without some of it going through otherwise.
I was in 2 minds whether to cut the flourish off the end to make the sentiment more centralised. The more I look at it the more I realise I might have OCD issues.... LOL
Anyhoo, I am very pleased with this card as everything apart from the cardstock is brand new and Never Before Used Schtuff so I know Darnell will love this card as she is the champion of getting you to use your goodies that are languishing in their hidey places and never been used.

What a great idea for I Mandy. And those penguins certainly need an igloo. Lovely scene and great choice of background paper (it looks like it is snowing on to the penguins!)
