Say It With a Sentiment

Over at The 12 Months of Christmas Link Up it is the Merry Maidens turn to showcase some fabulous Christmas cards.

The optional Twist for this challenge is to ' Say It With A Sentiment' A sentiment or word art is to be a big part of the focus on the card.

The paper pack Sentimentally Christmas designed by Decosse's Dynamite Doodles is up for grabs to the lucky winner who follows the twist.

As I don't have access to a colour printer at the moment I have made a fully digital card.

For my card I really wanted to use Snowy Scene from the Nature of Christmas Kit.

I laid this on a background of Cranberrry Plaid paper which is a freebie still available here from Decosse's Dynamite Doodles. It is a subtle pop of colour around the edge without being too bold.

 The sentiment is from the White Christmas Sentiment set 

I wanted it to be a large focal area on the white snowbank foreground. I love the font that has been used on this one.

I added some red glitter snowflakes from Snow Much Fun onto the background and made them a 70% opacity to make them less bold and blend into the snowflakes already on the background.

Finally I added a little snowman which was a vector graphic I bought years ago for the grand total of 99p. This was in the days before digital stamps really became popular (can you imagine there was such a time?)
