Snowglobe


It's day 3 of the Christmas in July challenge at Catch the Bug and today we are asked to make anything but a card.


I have made a snowglobe. It is intended to put photos in and I must have it in my stash for over 8 years and not used it so decided it was about time I did.

I used a cool snowman image called Polka Dot Snowman by Bugaboo Stamps. It is coloured with Promarkers. I coloured the sky and added lots of snowflakes and glitter. When you shake the snowglobe you have the glitter in the foreground and also in the background image.


On the reverse I added a sentiment which is from the Snowman Set 02 also by Bugaboo Stamps. The background has been coloured in blue and I added loads of glitter to the heart.

I made it to give to my husband. Knowing him he will probably only shake it a few times and then it will sit on his desk which is why I wanted it to look just as nice when the glitter has settled. I may sneak it away from him when he's not looking so I can play with it ..... SHH that is our secret okay.

I apologies for the reflection on the photos. No matter how or where I took the photos any window caused a reflection.... oh how we suffer for our art !
