Lorie's Peppermint Mocha


The September progressive freebie challenge over at the Outlawz featured a digital set called Lorie's Mocha for All Seasons from Imagine That Digi Stamp.

It is a very generous set that features 4 images and loads of sentiments that can be used with them.

I am in Christmas card mode so of course chose the candy cane version.

I used a sketch from Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 for the layout.



The image has been coloureed with Promarkers & Flexmarkers and glitter gel pens. 

I used an 8" scalloped edge card for the base. I added a layer of green paper underneath a diagonal striped paper. The image was matted onto red paper.

Following the sketch layout I added strips of glitter dotted pattern card and a sentiment from my stash. The peppermint sweets are from DCWV and I added glitter gel pens to incorporate the extra colour on both.

Finally in each scallop I added a Card Candi dot onto 3d foam squares.

I am really happy with how this card has turned out, it is so bright and cheerful.
