Christmas Botanicals

Over at The 12 Months of Christmas Link Up it is the Merry Maidens turn to showcase some fabulous Christmas cards.

The optional Twist for this challenge is "Blooming Botanicals" inspired by the prize paper pack on offer for the winner Christmas Botanicals designed by Decosse's Dynamite Doodles.

If you want the chance to win this month's featured paper pack, be sure to create a card that features any type of Christmas FLOWER or GREENERY such as pine boughs, poinsettias, holly and berries, Christmas Cactus, wreaths, etc.

This month we are sponsored by Beccy's Place. Beccy has a huge selection of digital images in her store and is also extremely generous with offering lots of free images for you to download. I absolutely love Beccy's images :)

For my card I have used one of the freebies Berry Wreath. I have coloured it with Promarkers, red glitter gel pen and a gold gel pen for the ribbon.

As I don't have access to a colour printer at the moment I have scanned in the image and used it to make a digital card.

I use a program called Affinity Photo on the Mac and created an A5 portrait card. The base layer is Deck the Halls from Holiday Hoopla Patterned Papers 1 by Decosse's Dynamite Doodles.

Layer 2 is Holly Berries from Holiday Hoopla Patterned Papers 2 also by Decosse's Dynamite Doodles.

The stamped image has been layered on a plain green circle layer. The sentiment is from Holiday Hoopla Wordart by Decosse's Dynamite Doodles. I have split it into 2 separate words so it would fit better inside the wreath.

The snowflake border is from an old set Snow Much Fun from Decosse's Dynamite Doodles. I have re-coloured it in red to suit the colour of the image. Finally the last element is a flower that I have coloured in gold to co-ordinate with the ribbon.

I do hope you will take part in our challenge and look forward to seeing your creations.

Digital Supplies Used :

Coloured with Promarkers & Sakura Red Glitter Pen & Pentel Gold Gel Pen
Papers - Holiday Hoopla Patterned Papers pack 1 & 2 from Decosse's Dynamite Doodles
Embellishment - Glitter Edge Snowflake from Snow Much Fun - Decosse's Dynamite Doodles
Sentiment - Holiday Hoopla Word Art from Decosse's Dynamite Doodles

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges (in Alphabetical Order)
