Snow Friends Window

 


We have a new challenge over at The Paper Funday. 
The theme is Anything Goes with an optional twist of Give Thanks / Thankful / Grateful


We are sponsored by the fabulous Bugaboo Stamps and were able to choose an image from the store to work with. I am on a massive Christmas card drive at the moment and adore snowmen so this image Snow Friends Window really jumped out at me. Bugaboo Stamps is one of my favourite digi stores as the images really suit my bright and bold style so this is a dream challenge for me 😀


I wanted to make the window really stand out so had decided to decoupage the window frame. I printed the image twice and for the top layer carefully cut it out with scalpel and scissors. I coloured the frame and then added lots of silver glitter on the snowballs and then iridescent on the snowdrifts. This has been mounted on black 3d foam squares to lift it away from the main image. You can see the detail in the image below.

The bottom layer has been coloured with Promarkers and white gel pen for snowflakes.


I used a sheet of A4 white card for the base and added some snowball patterned paper from an old Papermania paper pack. I added a strip of self adhesive silver ribbon. I then made a bow from blue & silver ribbon. Finally I added a cardstock sentiment which was matted onto blue card for a contrast.

    Imagine seeing these little guys lined up outside your window?! How cute! You did an awesome job building up the frame Mandy, the dimension is fabulous and the results were definitely worth the effort. Love the hints of silver, it adds a nice sparkle to the design.
