Sparkly Snowman

The final prompt for day 30 at Beccy's Place is to Do What You Love.

I love snowmen. I always used to build them as a child when we had a good snowfall. I grew up in Leeds it is generally colder 'oop North in the UK and you usually have more snowfall in winter. There were times I was able to build snowmen much taller than me. In Birmingham it is generally warmer and we don't have much if any snow in Winter although it can get very frosty like it has been for the last few days.

I also love to re-use and recycle elements in my card. The image, papers and sentiment on this card are all from old Christmas cards. I matted onto scraps of silver mirri card, The leftover scrap of light blue card was punched with my favourite Fiskars border punch and glittery washi tape added to the centre.

The other thing I like is adding bling so self adhesive gems were added to the foiled snowflakes on the background.

This is the last card for Beccy's month long challenge. I came to it late on 11th November and I am really proud that I was able to catch up and make a card for each day. It has helped me to enjoy crafting again after a very busy and stressful year and making Christmas cards is my favourite thing to make :)

  2. Your last card for the challenge is fabulous Mandy... a lot of my favourite things too! Although I've only been in snow a handful of times, I too love snowmen, and yours is a little cutie! The rhinestones in the background look wonderful and have an extra oomph from the lovely silver stars. Beautiful!
    Cheers,
    Beccy
