Monochrome Snowflake

At Beccy's Place Month long Holiday card challenge the prompt is the letter E.
E is for embossing

This card contains a few of my favourite things, Snowflakes and recycling.

My starting point was this lovely layout from Creative Sketchy Girls. I had a gorgeous snowflake that I had rescued from an old Christmas card and it needed to be the focal point of a card so the current sketch is perfect. There is just no way such a pretty sparkly snowflake like that should be thrown away..... I see it as my duty to save it from such an awful fate ☺

The card blank has been covered with a metallic paper from Papermania. The starry paper was from a Christmas cracker, the brighter blue strip was from an old Christmas card and the snowflake strip is from my Christmas scraps box. The sentiment is really glittery from an old card and the blue cardstock are all scraps.

I used one of my favourite embossing folders to add the snowflake panel. The scalloped edge die cut circle is from Craftwork Cards and I coloured it with a metallic rub on.

Finally I added some gems. The glittery ones are from The Works & the plain blue is from Poundland (supposed to be self adhesive but the sticky has long gone on them....)
