Day 5 at Beccy's Place Month Long Holiday Cards Challenge is the prompt of birds and animals.
The image I have used is Blue Tit Rowan by Ike's Art. I coloured the image with Promarkers added some lines to the branch to create a bark effect, some white pen to the berries to create a highlight and lots of glitter to the snow and frost on the berries.
The papers are a mixture of leaves and trees from and old Papermania pad called Songbird. The Christmas tree paper is from a pad called Traditional Christmas from The Works book store. I have added some garden string which I coloured brown with a Promarker and a heart button with a baker's twine knot.
The leaves and berry arrangement has been made using some bits I got from The Range. They have loads of things to make wreaths at the moment and I bought a few things from there to take apart and use on cards. The leaves are really long so I cut them in half for this ensemble. The berries I particularly like as they have clear accent beads on them and look frosted so match the effect on the image really well.
Finally the die cut sentiment is from a Poinsettia Perfection Crafter's Companion freebie pack that came with an issue of Craft's Beautiful last year.
England started a 2nd lockdown for a month yesterday so Beccy's challenge has come at a fabulous time for us (as if I needed an excuse to make Christmas cards.....)

ReplyDeleteGreat colouring Mandy, the little bird and bright red berries look fabulous. I love the different papers you added, the colours and patterns coordinate beautifully and make me think of woodlands or forests. I especially love the pine needles in the very back. Beautiful!
