Shimmer & Shine

 

Over at The 12 Months of Christmas Link Up it is the Merry Maidens turn to showcase some fabulous Christmas cards.

The optional Twist for this challenge is to add 'Shimmer & Shine'

For my card I have used the Santa Passport Kit. Monica has some amazing kits that make a really unusual card that opens up like a passport. There are so many different elements that you can use bit as the intended passport and for any other crafty makes.

As I don't have access to a colour printer at the moment I have made a fully digital card.

Throughout the card I have used the Gold paper from the Crumpled Chrome 1 pack. I love how textured it looks, Lisa did an amazing job designing it.

The main paper is from the Passport Kit. 

I made a washi ribbon from the Red White & Green Stripe from Holiday Hoopla. By reducing the opacity in my digital program this gives the appearance of washi tape rather than a bold solid line.

Across the crossover of the ribbons I added the Merry Christmas postcard from the kit. To this I have added some sparkle by using the red snowflakes from Snow Much Fun

I loved the music note page with the old fashioned jolly Santa from the kit. Using the Santa Wish List I positioned it so Santa is looking up at it. I used the Parcel Post element to make 'stickers' so it looks like the wishlist is stuck to the main paper with it.

To add some more Shimmer & Shine I used Snowflake Brads from the Snow Much Fun kit (sorry I don't have a preview). I added a red snowflake over the top to make it bolder.
