Pony Plait

There is a progressive freebie challenge over at the Outlawz and we get a free digital image if a card has been made the previous month. I really enjoy taking part in these as we get images from different artists than we may use and also different styles and subjects.

This cute image is Pony Plait from Hetty Clare Art. This sweet little girl reminded me so much of one if my twin great-nieces. It is her 7th birthday in a couple of months so I made this in mind for her.

The image has been coloured with Promarkers and I used a nestabilities die to cut it out and create a matted layer in dark blue.

I used blue and brown as the main colour scheme adding yellow for her blonde hair. I used a floral vellum for the main background paper, I have has this in my stash for absolutely years. The blue cardstock has white rub-ons applied. The centres are a metallic raised cardstock embellishment. 

I added a strip of brown grosgrain ribbon and a blue felt flower which has a button centre. Finally the sentiment is from Craftwork Cards.
