Mouse Hug Me

At Beccy's Place there is a great month long holiday challenge with a new prompt every day.

For the 10th November the challenge was to make a card using a non-holiday image. To be honest it is something I would never have thought of doing so is a real challenge for me.

I used Mouse Hug Me which is a retired image from Bugaboo Stamps. I coloured it with Promarkers and Flexmarkers in traditional Christmas colours.  I added a mat cut from a Spellbinders die, the inside of which I fussy cut the image to the same size.

I used the current Stella Says Sketch 719 from the Catch the Bug challenges. I used a red & green spotty paper from my stash to match the colours. The gold gift paper is a scrap of wrapping paper. I highlighted one of the gifts by using a Promarker.

I added scraps of card and a self adhesive ribbon and some 3d stickers I have had in my stash for years.

The sentiment is one I have had printed for ages. It is from Platypus Creek Digitals who don't look like they are about anymore.

It seems in the years when I wasn't making cards a lot of digi companies went out of business which is such a shame.

Card Details :-

Size - A5
Image - Mouse Hug Me from Bugaboo Stamps (Retired)
Sentiment - With Love at Christmas by Platipus Creek Digitals (Retired)
Tools - Promarkers, Flexmarkers, white gel pen
Dies - Spellbinders Eyelet Squares
Embellishments - 3D Stickers, Self adhesive ribbon,

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges (in Alphabetical Order):-

  2. Great choice of a non-Christmas stamp Mandy, you did an awesome job combining with a sentiment that works. Love the colours too, you've definitely got the holiday vibe going on! I love that you've used a little bit of wrapping paper on your card too, upcycling and reusing are habits we all need to encourage. Love it!
